Definition:
Polycistic ovary syndome (PCOS) is a common condition cause by higher production of androgens that affects how your ovaries work. It's characterised by polycystic ovaries (which contain an abnormally large amount of follicles surrounding the eggs), irregular periods and excess facial and body hair.
